Home Sweet Home

I made this card for a friend who sold her house and is finally able to move back closer to her family. This is the first card I’ve made where the main image is inside the card, and I am very happy with the way it turned out. Here is a look at the inside:

Thanks for Your Hospitality

Last week my family visited a family from church for the first time. We had a great time getting to know them, and I made this card to send as a thank you. The family’s home was decorated with lots of blue and their design aesthetic was clean and uncluttered; I created my card to match those qualities.

My Card:

The prize this week is from Flower Soft. It is a really nice prize package, and someone is going to be very pleased when they win!

I love the Papertrey Ink July releases! I used the All Booked Up set for the image , and the sentiment “Having you as a friend is like curling up with a good book” was too sweet not to use!

I made a  pocket by only taping the bottom and sides of the white cardstock, and tucked a bookmark in as a gift. I made the bookmark with PTI’s bookmark die and patterned paper from American Crafts Blue Skies collection. I actually also used the die to cut kraft cardstock, and then adhered the patterned paper to that for strength. The sentiment is from the All Booked Up stamp set. I cut the sentiment out of white cardstock with decorative scissors (pinking) and used the same American Crafts pigment ink (Leaf) that I used on the card around the edges.
